Participants will discover stroke efficiency as they develop good paddling technique in a variety of watercraft. There are no pre-requisites for this program. The program will cover the following:

Canoe, kayak and paddle knowledge and care
Ministry of Transport safety issues and equipment
Canoe and Kayak transportation (Lifts and carries)
Canoe and kayak usage (Removing, Entering, Exiting, Position, Balance)
Paddling Strokes (Forward, Reverse, Straight Line, Sideways, Turns)
Rescues

Many of our 2 week camp paddlers go on to join the full summer program. Block A paddlers can switch into the full summer program and have their fees applied toward the whole summer fees. See Membership Information for camp fees.
