Cheema invites both new and experienced adult (19+) paddling enthusiast to experience dragonboating. Enjoy the great outdoors on beautiful Lake Thomas in a fun and friendly atmosphere. The 40-foot-long, dragonboat can accommodate 20 paddlers sitting two to a bench, with a steersperson in the back directing/coaching the session.
Dragonboating from its sitting position makes it easier to balance and execute a basic paddling stroke. Beginners learn the stroke in a few sessions and acquire paddling-specific fitness within a couple of weeks. The program provides for a great social environment, before and after practice!
